Why have others joined?
I joined because of the:
- Music & the Minister: Sherry McBeath
- Friendliness of the people: Allison and Michael Johnson
- Youth Program: Stewart Bromley
- Nursery, church staff and the beauty of the sanctuary: Carolyn Neely
- Presence of the Holy Spirit and the opportunities to serve: Pearl Spaulding
- Educational opportunities: Jim Baker
What is the typical dress for the Sunday worship service?
There is no dress code and all are welcome. Some folks attend worship wearing a jacket and tie or a dress, while others are more casual.
Who can take communion?
All who profess faith in Jesus Christ. Children who have been instructed on the meaning.
What is the role of women in the worship service and in the government of the church?
Women serve in all capacities: Ministers, Elders, Ushers, etc.
Concerning Children and Youth
Are children welcome to attend the service?
Yes, we encourage children to attend the Worship service with their parents.
We also offer supervised activities following a Children’s Sermon so that they can attend for the first ten to fifteen minutes of the service. The “Extended Service” for children is full of wonderful activities that we hope will enhance their early Christian experience.
Do you have childcare?
Yes, we provide a Nursery during the SS Class hour as well as during the worship service.
We provide direct communication from our Nursery to our Head Usher.
Can I attend without joining?
We welcome you to attend before joining. We also believe that you are looking to pursue “something more” in your life and that your faith will be enhanced by belonging.
How do I get to know more people?
We suggest our:
- Sunday Luncheons
- Wednesday Night Suppers
- CE Classes
- Women’s Circles
- Men’s Breakfasts
And, attend an orientation class for visitors/new members!
Do you have other questions?
We invite you to let one of our ministers know, contact the church office, or contact us through this website.
